For how long have you been awaiting and what stage of the process are you in? I submitted my documents almost a year ago! My medical was cleared on Oct 12, no update since then

So I spoke with customer service last week. Apparently the delay is 'coz they had not assigned a Visa Officer to my application till July. So it seems that the VO started reviewing the application in July. Hoping that they complete the process soon!

I am guessing it's just a waiting game at this point. But just wish to know, did you do anything which you feel helped in expediting the process? Thanks
