Upload a letter ofexplanation where you state that you undertook all the efforts to renew the passport but that the authorities take longer than seven days to create the new one. Add any receipt you got for the renewal. Upload a copy once you get the passport through the webform

Unfortunately is the length background very hard to predict. Can be a month if you lived in one country all your life, have not served in the army or have a criminal record. Also, it depends how cooperative the institutions that border services rely on. I think usually it takes between 1-3 months.

I'm not sure. In July i was told it was the Vancouver VO and when I called back in August they told me it had moved from Sydney to Montreal. You can get conflicting information from IRCC agents sometimes.

I am in Canada already so I called IRCC a couple of times but I didn’t get much out if it. The last time I called (last Tuesday) I was told that they didn’t start reviewing my eligibility yet. Yesterday I heard from my manager that an officer had called him TWO WEEKS ago to check my work...

It’s looking good for you. That’s for sure. Waiting is hard but you can wait with the comfort of knowing that good news will come, it’s just a matter of when.

That is impossible to predict from the outside. If you know that criminality and backgrounds are completed, it's easier to say how fast a decision will be made. When you have an extensive travel history of were in the army, the background checks can take a long time. If you have only lived in...

Every case is different. Just because some are getting a decision earlier than you, doesn’t mean your application is not going to be approved. Every VO has different workloads which makes it unpredictable when you get a final decision. It’s very frustrating, I know. But all we can do is wait...

Sydney is super busy. Mine moved from Sydney to Montreal because Sydney was too busy. But, to be fair, an IRCC agent told me all applications statt there.

Word of comfort to anywhere here that is still waiting on a decision. An IRCC agent told me that if you’re made it past the completeness check, which people with a April normally would have by now, your application will not be flat out refused without giving you an opportunity first to correct...

GU’s don’t just mean you get your PPR. It means that there’s movement on your file. Ie. that you passed a certain stage or you will get an ADR request.
