I landed on Aug 7. My account status changed to show "approved" yesterday morning, but I only received an email notification this morning. So there's a delay in the emails I guess.

Try the same number, but enter 3-4-1-0, and wait for about half an hour, then you should connect

They won't create an account for you. You need to create an account, and then link your application to this account. However, not having an account to link your application shouldn't affect the processing of your application. I would recommend you just inquire about the status directly.
