    TRV problem after study permit extension!

    Apply for a visitor permit to extend your stay in Canada instead. Processing time is about 3 months but you will have implied status while it is being processed, which should take you close to the end of March even if it isn't approved.

    Unfortunately I can't give an opinion as I just let mine lapse when renewal time came around. Have you read their cancellation/refund policy? You have nothing to lose by trying since the policy won't be used for the duration you took it out for.
