    No they didn't call any of my references/guarantor. If you have travel plans for next month I would call again by Friday and ask for an update. You can also let them know you'll be travelling soon and they may speed up your application!

    I received a delivery notice from CP today (even tho I was home…lol), it says the letter is from Ottawa. I’m thinking it’s probably my citizenship certificate. Or with a bit of luck it’s the actual passport! I’ll let you all know tomorrow

    Based on other people's timelines yeah it means they are working on it. From what I can see they usually mail the passport within a week or so after the charge, but based on the new timeline the agent provided me (6-8 weeks total), it could take longer.

    Just fyi - I called Canada Passport today hoping to get an update on my application. I sent my application by mail on Oct 26th and haven't heard back since. The agent told me that the expected waiting time now is about 8 weeks.
