    Here to post my final message in this thread. Despite all of the “advice” my PR card was delivered to my home address in Canada. My family member then put it in a birthday card and FEDEXed it to me in New York. I now have the card in hand with literally ZERO issues. All the best everyone.

    google “mp for (city)” and you will find their email there and then just email them and explain. The only way they can expidite is for proof of a medical emergency or if you are an essential worker tthat has to travel for work related reasons. You will need to provide letters & proof.

    IT IS NOT illegal however for them to forward unopened mail to you outside of Canada. You can open yourself and that is 100% legal.
