must remain resident of Canada doesnot mean sponsor can not travel outside of Canada. it really means Sponsor should retain his permanent resident status, for example keep his PR card renewed so sponsor profile in IRCC data is upto date.

There wasn't any change on my file for 6 months from may to november but then I emailed my concern at IRCC.CIO-BRCD.IRCC@cic.gc.ca email and they said your file awaiting review by officer on nov 14. Just to let you guys know. I am not sure if that triggered my ppr. I would say it's worth a try

My file is at CIO Sydney as well and after may 7 adr nothing has happened. They asked me for rcmp certificate. It's been silent since then.
