    H1B visa appointment availability

On the home page, there is a gear icon. Click that, and then on Edit, scroll down to the last question "Are you traveling from another country to apply for a U.S. visa in Canada? ". I think this will update what you are trying to do.

    AVR with a canceled appointment

The guy said AVR is invalid as soon as I booked the appointment and didn't want to hear anything further. I don't know if this was just how he interpreted the rule.

    401k in the USA

What are you guys doing about the 401K account when moving to Canada. I know we can leave 401k as is, and the preferred option is to convert 401k to IRA. My question is.. Can we convert 401K to IRA after moving to Canada? or does this rollover need to occur while we are still in the USA.

Moving a financed car from USA to Canada

See you aren't allowed to go in with a US car if you are settling - if you say you are going in only for 2 weeks, then by definition you are not a settler. So, you can go in your car as long as you say you plan to go back now / after 2 weeks. Now if they complete your landing for a short landing...

Exporting car from US to Canada which was bought after the Soft Landing

If you are driving the car into Canada and CBSA officer asks you about the car, you might run into trouble. A settled Canadian resident isn't supposed to drive a US car - not imported yet. If you just travel to canada for short visits without intention of settling in, mostly no issues - but if...
