    Paris Office" What to expect??''

I agree the Paris office is very efficient. My husband got his passport request in just under 5 months going through Paris.

13 years age gap, mention it or not?

I'm 16 1/2 years older than my husband, and we were approved in just under 5 months. As long as your relationship seems legitimate, I think the age gap will be ignored. They can see the age difference by looking at the dates anyway, you can't really hide it!

Paris Visa office - Spousal cases - processing times

My husband got his PPR in just under 5 months - he's from Portugal. I think the European cases processed in Paris are faster than the AFrican ones that are processed there.

Child crossing border with non-custodial parent

Hi - my husband's 11 year old daughter wants to come visit us this summer in Canada from Portugal, and we were planning to take her to Disneyland as well. What kind of documentation do we need from her mother (whom she lives with full time) to allow her to cross the borders with us without any...

    Passport request during your vacation.

When we got our PPR from the Paris office there was the option to pick up the visa in person in Paris. I don't know if it would be done the same day though.

Anyone going through the paris office?

My husband is from Portugal. I think the European countries get processed a bit faster than the African ones at the Paris office from what I've seen. We got his PPR by email. Good luck

Anyone going through the paris office?

My husband's application was processed in Paris - took 4 months 28 days to PPR. We didn't get many updates either, I think it said in process for about 2 weeks prior to the PPR. Our application was fairly straightforward too. We had no complaints about the Paris office, hopefully you'll hear...

Secretary of MP of Edmonton/St. Albert doesn't care!

I live in St. Albert also, and remember reading a different thread about Brent Rathgerber - here it is: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t68145.0.html I also agree that you should send a letter in writing, the girl at the front desk probably didn't even pass...

Can a visitor to Canada apply for an extension again after being refused..?

Why were you refused the first time? If something has changed I'd try it again, but if everything's still the same they will probably refuse you again

Does age difference / previous marriages matter?

I am 17 years older than my husband, I was previously married and have 4 grown children. He has one daughter still in Portugal but was never married before. His permanent residency was approved in just under 5 months, without an interview. I think the most important thing is the strength of...

My husband (Portuguese) was living here with me on 2 year long work visas. His PR was approved in just under 5 months, with no problems :) Our VO was Paris.

can we go back to u.s right after we land?

He just needs to "land" by February, not actually move here. Once he has landed, he only needs to live in Canada for 730 days out of the next 5 years (so 2 out of 5 years). He can stay in the US for awhile until he gets everything organized, new job, etc.

I got My PPR and now?????help Any GERMANS THERE!!

If you are already in Canada you have two options - call your local CIC office and request an appointment to "land" - although that often takes many weeks. Or, you can drive to your nearest border and "flagpole". You tell the US border officer that you are flagpoling to land, and they will tell...

    paris visa office

No problems at all with Paris office - application submitted to PPR - 4 months, 28 days. My husband is Portuguese. I think the timeline is longer for applications that are being processed in Paris from the African countries though.
  18. K

Pleas share experience. Faster than listed Application Processing Time?

When ours went through, the time posted for Paris was 9 months, we got the PPR in 4 months 28 days, so a lot faster :) Some others from Paris were around the same time frame too

    Victim of Marriage Scam

Well said!! I often wonder the same thing - why did I fall head over heels in love with my husband. There are many reasons why I shouldn't have, but I did, and I could never explain it to someone else! Its hard for others to understand, hard for me to understand too.

From Edmonton where did you go to flagpole

We drove down to Coutts also, long drive but it went smoothly at the border crossing for my husband.
