I don't know about how the 14-day is enforced but it is clearly written that we need to self quarantine and there is a big penalty if we don't do that. Maybe other folks can shed some light. I would follow the guidelines and not jeopardize my PR.

Are you sure that not just federal but medicare, social security, state income tax are all added up to show as credit in canadian tax return?

You should have received an email which says folks with COPR issued before 18 March can travel. Border on Canada side is not closed for them. You can decide to not go now and raise webform

I don’t think they are going to remove quarantine requirement which means you will have to stay there for atleast 14 days. I am in the same boat as you.

When you say US resident, you mean green card holder or H1B etc? I am not completely sure but they are allowing green card holders and H1B to come back but Canada wants you to quarantine before going. I am in similar boat as you.
