Yes correct, i also talk to AC customer support and they confirm that the SG PCR test will be valid as long as it is within the 72 hours windows to the departure time of the japan - canada flight.

i ask my Uni about coming in early as well and they reiterate the 4 weeks recommended travel. Also, check with your airlines as i've seen in the news that there are students who tried to land earlier than the recommended and they were not allowed to board.

I also booked 3 days and 4 weeks before my class start. Hopefully i wont encounter any issues with airlines and border officers.

you are just overthinking. You'll get your SP. I got requested for the same document even if that document is already in my orig application. The document was in the last few pages of a 20sh pages file i submitted. Probably they just overlooked it the first time.

oops.. i saw this in canada.ca. So u can still book the 3 days hotel and can request a refund if exempted. You may only request a refund for the hotel stopover if you were given the fully vaccinated exemption when you entered Canada. To request a refund: contact the hotel and let them know...

i see.. the advisory on the school i'll be attending is that they still advise to. Have a suitable 14- day quarantine plan (including the 3-day hotel stopover)

So technically you still need to book the 3 days hotel quarantine and another 11 days. So upon landing, there's a chance you still need to wait for the test result therefore still need to stay for hotel at least 1 day? Just hope with this new change, hotels will give flexibility of refund.

But even you are vaccinated it is not guaranteed that you will be exempted for the quarantine. And still need to plan the 14days quarantine even before arriving, so the hotel booking is still mandatory it seems.
