Hi everyone! It's PPR! AOR June 14th PA + 3 dependents (FSW-O) One GU right after MEP / BIL RPRF received and paid August 1st One GU Nov 27th (no e-mail) PPR November 28th VO not sure, never asked. I thought it was Ottawa, the e-mail address seems to be Ottawa, but it's signed by the canadian...

It's my understanding that PNP applicants have the exact same processing time as other streams such as FSW-O. So I wouldn't worry too much, since we are still within the 6-month period.

    RPRF to PPR timelines

Unfortunately it's impossible to predict how long it'll take after RPRF. I paid it July 31st and I'm still waiting. I've seen other applicants waiting up to 6 months after RPRF.

    Police certificate from the Netherlands

Just to be clear, my University did NOT inform the gemeente (municipality). What the University did was inform the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Netherlands). The gemeente is the municipality of the town where you lived, and has nothing to do with immigration, visas, etc. What you could do...

    Police certificate from the Netherlands

Usually the gemeente will de-register you automatically. I forgot to do that when I left the country, but they did it themselves. It's just an administrative thing, nothing to do with immigration. I called them and was informed that I was not registered anymore... so I had to request the VOG...

Correct, but who knows when will our file be picked up? Perhaps in November, December, January... etc. Brazil and you?

True, but that information appears to be outdated. It used to be like that... RPRF used to be just a formality a few days before getting PPR. I've recently seen people waiting for 6 months or more after RPRF. I called CIC a few days after I got the letter and was told that my eligibility was...

It's quite common nowadays... there are other ppl in the same situation. Early RPRF doesn't mean early PPR. Some applicants are getting RPRF request letter 5 to 15 days after Medical Passed. Apparently CIC has changed the process. Anyway, 4 months since AOR is still early, normal processing time...

Express Entry applicants from Brazil, connect here!

Sugiro ter o cuidado de conferir com a pessoa que assinou a carta que ela realmente fala inglês. Se um oficial de imigração ligar para a pessoa e ela não fala inglês, pode ter problemas.

Yes, same thing here. June AOR. More or less 30 days after the BIL, it changed from 'your action is required' to 'submitted'. I think it's automatic after the deadline is passed. I raised a webform and got confirmation that biometrics were received. It's a glitch. It'll probably clear when an...

PR - crime - driving while under the influence of alcohol

Correct, refusing to take the test is not a crime in Brazil. It's an infraction (infração) with administrative consequences; such as a hefty fine plus a 12 month driving suspension. Here's a link that may help you explain these legal aspects to a canadian immigration lawyer...

PR - crime - driving while under the influence of alcohol

You're welcome. I think it would be wise for you to gather all documents related to the incident before you speak with the lawyer. E.g.: Incident report, proof of the fee payment, any court records and so on. You'll also have to explain to the immigration lawyer how DUIs are treated in Brazil...

Yes, it also depends on the VO. I've seen applicants from South America (FSW Outland) getting PPR in 55, 60, 80 and 90 days post AOR. All these were processed in Mexico Visa Office. They seem to be really fast. So it depends on the applicant, the Visa Office, etc...
