There is only one High Commission - at New Delhi. The other consulates are in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chandigarh. Since the last time as well the passport had to go to Delhi - I am assuming all passports do go to the High Commission at Delhi only.

24 hours would be touch and go for the test no? - just like she had mentioned in the post. So the layover cannot be more than 24 hours without visa?

This is very useful. Transit hotel is brilliant. No visa needed. Just have a layover of 36 hours so that we get the covid test on time.

Are the centers asking for visa? I heard they are asking for employment offer for sure. Here is the tweet by BMC I am going to go to one of the centers to check what they need. Seems like it is walk in for people with student visa and job offers. Will update more when I have more info

Also Qatar seems to be allowing fully vaccinated Indians without quarantine. They say they are waiving off the visa for 30 days if you have return/onward ticket and accommodation booking. BTW - Do any of the above you mentioned enforce quarantines while you are waiting for the test results...

I agree. We must probably discuss it in another thread. I have my employment starting there by end of august and have to make the travel by then or latest by early Sep. I am planning to speak to travel agent I know to know the options.

I would try and travel by end of August/early Sep. I am guessing that is another leg of planning left to do! :)
