    OMG! It was accepted under CEC!! People have no idea what they are talking about! while I wasn’t paid in Canada, my scholarship was enough proof that I attended Canadian university as a research visitor. I had a work permit. I wrote a long letter explaining why this experience should matter...

    Yes. I started as Outland but got to Canada before covid with visitors visa. I proved my temporary residency in Canada, which helped my application (so ultimately changed my profile from Outland to inland).

    I just got my PR on Tuesday! Background check doesn’t always reflect on the portal. Now that I got my PR, the portal shows that my background check was completed 27 April 2020; before PR, it always said we are processing your background check.

    Since early January, all the CEC applicants that have been approved (according to immitracker) applied PR in 2020. Only two 2019 applicants approved... Alarming. Does not make any sense. Terrible system...
