recommended pass, but I've got a response from visa office after the notes were generated: "Your application was assigned to an officer and security clearances are pending before a final decision can be made."

nope, I've got the notes. The file is with the officer, everything is cleared except for security

It looks like there is a bottleneck with Security because of the 3rd party... I have everything completed except for the security as well... My guess they are sending a request to this 3rd party for a security check later than other offices and this is why it takes so long :(

called IRCC today, they are still processing my BG check, also I've ordered GCMS notes on July 4th, and an agent told me it's still in 'requested' status - meaning it hasn't even been acknowledged yet... so much for 30 calendar days to respond by law...:( On the bright side, it's my 3rd call to...

Just called IRCC. My eligibility is recommended pass security and criminality is in progress She also confirmed the Winnipeg office is closed because of A\C problems and they haven't informed them if they will be transferring files to other visa offices...

is it the same office where they process the applications? Does this mean all work on the applications has stopped too? wow...

BTW, did they give you the date of an interview? or do you need to schedule it yourself? And if they did, how far away is it from the date you have received an email?
