Hi - can one move back to Canada (Canadian Sponsor with South African spouse) and apply for a work permit while Outland PR application is in process? Or would it be best to come to Canada and apply for an open work permit while the Outland PR application is in process?

I have received the same feedback today. Timeline: Submitted PR March 8th with OWP OWP returned and resubmitted, received May 10th Medical May 24 Medical passed June 12 They told me today that the OWP will only be issued once my sponsor has been verified as eligible. That has not started yet...

I managed to link my OWP to my account following steps I found online.

I’ve used my application number and and UCI number to log in but can't find any details. My OWP was returned due to insufficient fees paid. I was in status when I applied for PR and OWP the second time, I arrived in December 2018 but left the country and have re-entered, renewing my visitor status.

I'm in the same boat. Also submitted OWP in March, returned, resubmitted May 7, insufficient fees. No response yet.

You are able to leave the country as long as when you enter, you are legally allowed to do so. I'm assuming your wife will be on a visitor's visa? I left Canada to go to the US a few weeks ago to reinstate my visitors status in Canada for another 6 months while my app is in process. Should be fine.

Most posts show that we go back into the pile and start again. Happy to wait for PR, the OWP is more urgent. Thanks for your input.

Hi My partner (Canadian citizen) is sponsoring and we submitted PR & OWP on March 8, received AOR for PR on April 21. April 26 received OWP app back because I paid insufficient fees. Resubmitted May 8. Medical examination requested May 20. Is the medical exam requested in terms of PR app only...
