It's designed precisely to collect money and discourage people from coming. Look at all the requirements. The longer it takes, the more people are discouraged and more likely to give up, or break up, in the process.

Wife called Quito VAC to ask why her passport was sent to Bogota. They told her its completely normal that they send passport to the nearest VO that can process it. In this case, Bogota. Relieved that this wasn't a mistake. Mitch, looks like yours will join ours.

Interesting development. Wife sent off her passport last Thursday. We got an email today stating that its being processed by Bogota's VO. Curious.

We sent it to MVO yesterday. It could be that its on its way to Mexico from Bogota.

Wife just submitted her passport to VAC in Quito. Now we patiently await the return so we can book the flight. Lol the final weeks will be the longest.

Exactly. That's why my wife is turning everything in in person at the VAC and picking everything up there as well. It sucks because this final step should be a few weeks and people in here are saying a month has gone by without receiving their passports back. This VO is concerning. Especially...

1. You get COPR when they send your passport back I believe. 2. They send you everything you need in the PPR email. We are sending giving our documents to the Quito VAC for them to send to Mexico City. Mexico City will send COPR back to them when they're finished, which my wife will pick up...
