Same here. No updates since SA in early April. Eligibility in process / No BGC started / No ghost update. Montreal hub.

First, ask IRCC call center agents why. If no use, reach out to your MP to help investigate your case. At the same time, log a complaint with Ahmed Hussen (minister of immigration - Ahmed.Hussen@parl.gc.ca) + other news outlet. It may still not be enough, but you will have tried.

no no no. Ahmed Hussen is the minister of immigration for Canada. This is email of his office. He won't be giving you case specific information. I was suggesting emailing him for complaints about the general unfairness of this entire process and the stress it causes (health impacts!).

This is very annoying. The government needs to better distribute workload and ensure a more consistent timeline across locations. Please complain to your MP / Minister of Immigration when you have a chance. We can be heard if we all contribute and form a large voice.

Has anyone attempted to get an open work permit associated with an inland spousal sponsorship PR application (been in process for >6 months now) at a POE such as an airport? I've researched online and couldn't find anything specific on CIC's website that prohibits such an application...
