    Service Canada Wait Times

Hi all, I tried a couple of Service Canada offices around Vancouver and couldn't find a walk in. If I try to book an appointment, they have a wait till July for any location in Victoria and Vancouver. From your recent experiences, as of April / May 2022, do you have a suggestion for an office...

    Soft Landing/Moving to Canada

Hi @Ankson , I am planning a landing in the next couple weeks, and reading up on experiences from folks. Did you tell them you are planning to move permanently later? Or that you don’t have plans to move right now? And it does sound like issuing a PR card during soft landing is definitely a hit...

Hello! Apologies if this has been asked already, but if I am going to Vancouver to do soft landing with a COPR from the US, can I currently avail Dropbox to get H-1B stamping? Also, do we have to book a slot ahead of time for the Dropbox appointment like how we have to do in India? thanks much!

    Soft Landing/Moving to Canada

It appears that the "move permanently" clause has been removed from the CIC website now, does that mean we can go for soft landing, visit for a couple of days and then return back to the US now like old times?

Re-issue of Expired COPR & Visa

From what I can see in those questions, the class is already pre-populated, so you can probably leave it as it is (for me it was pre-populated as FSW), and regarding the other question, it asks to list only dependents who are traveling to Canada with you, so I am not sure why would want to...

    Expired COPR

So I just noticed that this thread is under CEC, I applied under FSW-O though, and it could be possible that they take the original invite ordering, I had applied way back in May 2019 but had to put the app on hold while adding my kid, so it took longer than normal to get a PPR. Not sure if that...
