I never experienced this particular problem, but I did read some reports at http://whycall.me telling similar stories with you about the IRCC scams, so I'm pretty sure it was a scam call. I agree with above replies that this was 100% scam.

I agree with zardoz. We need to keep reporting these kind of scams to the authority and always spreading the word at least to our family. I've read hundreds of similar reports regarding CIC related scams at http://whycall.me since few years ago. Guess they are still using these tricks now.

I haven't received any similar calls nor video calls from this company, but I think I've read about similar scams somewhere on the web, I forgot where it was. I think it's better to just ignore them, and maybe you can file a report to the authority and some complain boards like http://whycall.me.

I think it might be possible that those calls are coming from scammers. I have read some similar immigration scams filed by people at http://whycall.me since few months ago. I think you should contact immigration service and verify about this.
