    Was able to apply for OHIP with AIP+Proof of Residence (Employee Statement signed by Boss)+Foreign Passport at ServiceOntario. 3 month waiting period but expecting health card in May. (Inland Aug1 Applicant - Landing Interview on March 7th - next Saturday)

    About 50% of the July applicants (from the Spreadsheet) have gotten Approval in Principal in the last 10 days of January. Could see some positive momentum for us August folks starting from mid-to-late Feb!

    I was same. Medical before or after OWP has no relevance. ---- Looks like some folks Background Checks have begun processing Dec31/Jan1. Aug1 applicant here, keeping a close eye on updates :)

    I was told to call immigrations 10 days before my visitors visa expires if I did not get my OWP by then (since the timing is so close on my end after resubmitting for insufficient fees). Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I can't speak to the implied status but seems like above ^ makes sense...

    Unfortunate timing - but I knew stuff like this would happen, making all the more paranoid to include an extra $100 or $200 in the payment. Worth it to avoid another insufficient funds letter, if they refund you in the end.
