Was able to apply for OHIP with AIP+Proof of Residence (Employee Statement signed by Boss)+Foreign Passport at ServiceOntario. 3 month waiting period but expecting health card in May. (Inland Aug1 Applicant - Landing Interview on March 7th - next Saturday)

Got AIP :) Wooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad my insufficient payment for OWP didn't affect timing of AIP.

I'm sandwiched between 2 people who got their AIP. *sits patiently* Very exciting! Congrats mo!

I would call for an update.

About 50% of the July applicants (from the Spreadsheet) have gotten Approval in Principal in the last 10 days of January. Could see some positive momentum for us August folks starting from mid-to-late Feb!

I had a ghost update a week or two ago. Doesn't look like any requests for biometrics or otherwise has come through.

Looks like some July applicants who had insufficient payment (and resubmitted at the end of September) for OWP have been getting approved this past week. That could mean us, August applicants who had insufficient payment (and resubmitted at the start of October) for OWP could be getting...

That's exactly it. Got the same message today. Background check means starting to check :)

I was same. Medical before or after OWP has no relevance. ---- Looks like some folks Background Checks have begun processing Dec31/Jan1. Aug1 applicant here, keeping a close eye on updates :)

I was told to call immigrations 10 days before my visitors visa expires if I did not get my OWP by then (since the timing is so close on my end after resubmitting for insufficient fees). Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I can't speak to the implied status but seems like above ^ makes sense...

Went to same. Absolutely 0 issues, reserved 1 day in advance, was in and out in under 1.5hours. Good luck :) Thanks for confirming :)

Unfortunate timing - but I knew stuff like this would happen, making all the more paranoid to include an extra $100 or $200 in the payment. Worth it to avoid another insufficient funds letter, if they refund you in the end.
