Take copies of your tickets etc. And try your luck and be insistent you can drop passport directly at high commission etc. I’m sure they will say no but try it. The VAC send the passport to the visa office and get it back so maybe room to cut some time there.

Yes, I don't think i've faced anything as ridiculous as this process before. The lack of transparency and inability to contact them (with the expectation of a meaningful response) is the worst thing about it. They have some seriously messed up process in place I'm guessing with meaningless...

Tried visiting the embassy in London too. No use at all. They direct you to the VAC and say they don’t process visas at embassy. The VAC then say it’s at the embassy that they do the processing. The web forms are not much use either, they either don’t reply or reply saying it’s in process.

I wonder if tweeting etc will help on their main page. I don’t have twitter so won’t be trying that.

Congratulations on getting yours. Was this after multiple emails to them or you just let them process it in their own time? I’m amazed how something that took 4 days before has taken a month now with no update. I was also told if you’ve had a visa before, it should make it quicker.
