Two questions: 1) My agent has applied for my work permit, after the employer got an LMIA w/PR Support approval. If I decide not to work for the employer (prior to WP approval), can the processing or approval of my WP be stopped? 2) If I quit after I get my work permit, can I get it exchanged...

    Accompanying Dependent Reporting Misrepresentation

If an accompanying dependent of the principal applicant reports the principal applicant of document fraud, would CBSA show some sort of mercy on the dependent if deportation orders are granted - assuming the entire family is PR? Anyone have first hand experience?

    Additional Medical Test

The doctor sets the date based on availability not the embassy or CIC. The person I know who was getting treatment was booked based on when her treatment would be finished so the doctor could write she's treated. You can ask the doctor for an earlier appointment, could be he's going on...

    Additional Medical Test

I believe the tests required are in the system which the physician has access to. I know someone how had breast cancer, and was going through treatment. She received the same notice, made an appointment and the doctor knew what tests they were asking for.

is it mandatory to change the status on social media as per CIC

Why wouldn't you change your status? Changing your status to married would solidify or provide additional proof of genuiness of your marriage. Especially if friends congratulate you, and you take screenshots and submit those as supporting documents.

    Schedule A IMM5669 - Misrepresentation

I came across another case Sohrabi v Canada which explains a dependent misrepresenting her status as a bonafide student. Her misrep was ultimately the PA's misrep. Lesson... don't trust your kids when dealing with immigration. Though you're case ref refers to a PA misrepresenting and a diff...

    Schedule A IMM5669 - Misrepresentation

I had thought the same, but its not logical.. doesn't make sense for it to be that way. This is what the guide states: Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) Who must fill out this application form? This form must be completed by: You, the principal applicant. Schedule A –...

    Schedule A IMM5669 - Misrepresentation

IMM0008 is filled out by the Principal Applicant (PA). Schedule A is filled out by the PA, PA's spouse and dependents. If the PA misrepresents, then everyone under the PA is in trouble. If the Spouse or Dependents misrepresent on Schedule A - then is that specific person in trouble or everyone...

PR getting married to a non-PR. Should I inform CIC?

I didn't find it sufficient, so added onto it. Regardless of when he landed, he might have a sponsorship app open for parents. If not for him, its useful for anyone searching for related topics. Chill.

Good chance they won't catch it unless someone tips IRCC off. https://www.canlii.org/en/ca/irb/doc/2018/2018canlii129883/2018canlii129883.html?searchUrlHash=AAAAAQAWTWlzcmVwcmVzZW50ZWQgc2libGluZwAAAAAB&resultIndex=19 This case is a lot more complex, but the key point is they investigated...

Difference in parents name after study visa

I'm not sure how the Indian Embassy would react to you wanting to correct your father's name in your pp, but recommend you contacting the embassy or going to the VFS/BLS (not sure who they're using now) and inquire about the correction being made. Moving fwd, I think you should proceed with...
