Maybe you can just reply to the first email (portal 1 email) and tell them that you'll be leaving the country on this date and be coming back on this date.

Yes. I called IRCC regarding that and they said that the principal applicant should have received his/her ECOPR first before they will start to process/stamp the passports of his/her dependents.

What form are they asking? I think 'additional family information' is the form IMM5406 and it asks about your family: your spouse, parents, children, brothers/sisters.

i think it's because for trv app, you need to do biometrics first before they can process the application. and i know for trv, they would request for your biometrics a day or two after submitting the application ..and you can't do biometrics without having uci. so i guess that's the reason why...
