    ***DECEMBER 2018 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP***

Ditto COPR received in Nov/Dec and did a soft landing in March like a week before travel restrictions kicked in. Still waiting on the PR card, it seems like they aren't processing them atm.

PR Card Delays due to COVID

Thanks for your compassion. I know we are quite privileged/lucky to be able to do a soft landing in early March before the travel restrictions kicked in. There a lot of people on the forum that are having a much scarier time atm. It's just hard sometimes because there is such a disconnect...

PR Card Delays due to COVID

He can't really do that with his profession (he's a doctor), training programs don't look very favourably at taking time away from medicine. We've been trying to get into the country for the last 2 or 3 years. It's a ridiculously hard process and PR is only one small component of a very...

PR Card Delays due to COVID

Hi, I'm aware he is legally allowed to work in Canada and that he actually has PR, but this the training is known for being very inflexible about requirements. He is not allowed to work in his field without going through the training so it doesn't really matter to us whether it has basis in law...

PR Card Delays due to COVID

Because we are applying for a training program that we will be committed to for 3 years. If he doesn't get into my home province we have a small chance in a few other provinces because they don't have this same PR Card requirement. Otherwise have to go overseas before Canada will allow him to work.

PR Card Delays due to COVID

My husband and I did a soft landing after at the start of March just before travel restrictions kicked in. Unfortunately his PR card/application hasn't been processed at all. We've since gone back to the country we are currently living in, but he needs a PR card to apply for Canadian training...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

Thought I'd get this thread rolling again as it seems like there's been a number of applications that have just been sent to Sydney. Does anyone know recent processing times?

    **----January 2019 Outland Application----**

Yay, thanks so much for all your help on this :) It makes the process so much less intimidating when you can see the averages and that processing times for your app are normal. Especially when immigration tells you that you aren't supposed to contact them until after a year has expired.

    **----January 2019 Outland Application----**

Just got transferred to Sydney, Australia. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, there doesn't seem to be a lot of people posting timelines from Oz.

    Sponsorship Rejected

How is there a second option if the CRS score is high enough? I thought most of the express entry options required a job offer.

    Sponsorship Rejected

Side note: does this make a difference at all with a sponsorship application? My husband scores in the 480 range, and I am worried about immigration not accepting our plans to move back to Canada and initially rejecting the application.

    Biometrics letter still not here!

Also my husband and I sent our application early Jan and only just got the request to pay biometrics last week. It may take a few months for you too once you submit.

    **----January 2019 Outland Application----**

Is anyone else applying with both the PA and the Sponsor living out of country? Does it increase approval timeframes or is it around the same?

Proof of sponsor's intention to return to Canada???

This is a bit terrifying for me. My husband needs PR in order to apply for training programs to work in Canada. We won't be moving back until after he gets into a training program or else he won't be able to train or study (he has a VERY specific skill set and has never had a job outside of his...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

My husband is English, I'm Canadian and we are applying from New Zealand where we both live (application was sent off early Jan). We've just gotten the medical exam request and I've been approved as a sponsor. Is the application more likely to go to New Zealand, England, or Mississauga? Do we...
