How much time does background Check take? My background Check is not yet started. However only 35 days are remaining in the timeline.

Hi guy I have a query- GCMS notes I have heard takes 30 days to come so is the data provided in it a recent data or 30 days stale data? In case we order the notes, does that bring our case to the top and accelerate the process?

Yes I got the same response. I don't understand why they are extending it by 2 months when most of dec pr are getting completed

It will be on 19th July. However they say it will b stretched till 20th Sep. I don't get this at all!! On one hand ppl have started getting PPR already n on the other hand we don't even have background Check started!! I wanted to know how much time background Check takes? What are the factors...

I called cic today. Eligibility done. However background Check is not started. The officer told me to wait till Sep. Can anyone help me understand how much time does background Check take? Are they seriously pushing the timelines?

I have a question: I called cic n they told me my eligibility is under review n background Check has not yet been started. However my file is in Ottawa. Does that mean that the file will be transferred to some other visa office after my eligibility is reviewed? Please help

Hey any idea if this would delay the process?

I suppose if possible can u renew the passport post PPR? I mean if u do it now, you might have to inform cic/ ircc and the update might delay the process

The background Check is yet to be kicked off as per my conversation with cic guys. Is that normal? I have submitted the application 3 months back. Is there a way we can accelerate the process?

How much time does background Check usually take if you have paid the fees earlier?

Mine is the same. Applied just 4 days before you. I had even called cic to check on visa office. However they said it will only be assigned once the background Check kicks off

Can someone pl help- In case after submitting profile we get another visa added in our passport should we declare it? What is the duration within which we should declare it? Does it delay background verification?
