Yes, there is an application number starting with F!!!! OMG!!! So that is the AOR?!?!?!?! Makes total sense when I think about it!!! We will apply for the sponsored OWP ASAP!!!
Could you please tell me if the sponsor received an email saying: "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) " at the same time the sponsored got the AOR?
Because I'm sponsoring and I received that...
*Online application*
Anyone who applied online for family sponsorship is experiencing delay on receiving AOR?
We are waiting for almost 5 months already... No AOR means no OPW and that is a huge problem.
I had just used a sort of pilot, beta, online way of applying for a visitor visa and it cut short processing time from 9 months to 2 weeks so yes. It was the guess that anyone would make knowing what I knew only.
Yes. It was a guess. Certainly the same you or anyone else would have made with the information available for me at the time (I'm not disclosing it here, now because it is too much to write). Humans do that, you know... It's a natural thing.
I'm just baffled... It blows my mind to think that my wife will have to extend her visitor visa and we still haven't received an AOR therefore haven't even applied for OWP... to get her visitor visa we paid twice. One through the old way that would take forever and a second time through the new...
That is
This is insane. Especially because she needs her WP!!! I have received an email of IRCC acknowledging I'm the sponsor. How come no AOR yet?!?!?! I think we'll apply for her WP and see what happens... Her visitor visa is ending and will have to be extended before even getting a WP... Insane
Hello everybody.
I'm sponsoring my wife inland family sponsorship application and so far, after nearly 5 months, there is no AOR. I did receive an email from IRCC confirming I am a sponsor on her application though. Isn't that enough to use as AOR to apply for work permit? It is very important...
My wife has applied inland sponsorship online on January 17. Still no AOR. That means the visitor visa that she used for this inland application that lasts 6 months will have to be extended before she even has the right to work (no AOR means no WP). It's unbelievable. Almost 5 months and no AOR...
What? So the 30 to 90 days waiting is not enough to be able to apply for work permit? So there is still more waiting? So, if I understand right:
- 30 to 90 days for AOR
- X days for approval in principal
- WP application time itself
So after submitting the sponsorship application it still takes...
Me and my wife just submitted our sponsorship application on January 20. Now we need to wait until Acknowledgement Of Receiving to apply for Work Permit. Every other visa I applied AOR came fast. How long should it take until we get AOR so she can apply for WP?
Well, think about it, if you can't travel now because your new CoPR is post-March 18, then what's the point of giving you a new CoPR? The meaningful date is from the first CoPR which is before March 18.
