Coincidentally and luckily, my status just changed... it says "We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive. ".. Good luck guys.. looks like things are moving..

agreed... i dont deny that - passport is a critical document that they should aim to return as soon as possible or atleast make an attempt to provide an ETA. Its unfortunate they are not able to provide ETA and end up stating COVID as a reason (which is true though)

true but based on other responses here, i see many around this timeline have got their passports back. so its unclear how they are prioritizing them..

Dear all - My wife sent her passport in March from the US and it got delivered to Ottawa on March 17th. on Friday, they mentioned that her COPR is approved but they dont have any update on her passport processing time and when it would be returned. can anyone here know / advise, indicatively...

when did they receive your passport? I assume you mailed it to the Ottawa office.

passport reached them on March 17th and no updates yet. have tried raising couple of webforms and emailed them directly, yet no update. They replied to one of the queries that they have received the passport. Thats abt it.

All - I am currently in Canada and received my COPR on March 13. I am waiting for my PR card to arrive and not sure when I am going to get it. I need to travel to the US on an emergency by flight. can someone tell me if I am allowed to leave canada without PR card, and if yes will I be allowed...

I am already in Canada, so i did landing in Etobicoke office luckily just before COVID Closures on march 13th. I am now waiting for my PR Card. My wife has mailed her passport to CPC Ottawa on 17th and we are yet to hear back.. but CIC portal w/ GCKey - says submmited / processing and eCAS says...
