They are not married but they stayed in the same roof when they are in a relationship. Because it was asked in the appication about the past relationships for the last 5yrs. So it's not considered common-law considering they lived together?

Got a question here. We started our relationship since 2016 and got married last year 2018. My husband had a past relationship before he knew me and he didnt know if it is considered as common law relationship? Is it necessary to reveal it in the application?
