All a US visa does for you is lets you into their country. A CoPR is not the guarantee to get back to Canada once you have landed. You need your PR card or Travel document anytime you are not from a VISA exempt country. India is not visa exempt in the US or Canada

Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

If you are travelling on an indian passport, you can not go to the US with just your CoPR, you need a US Visitor Visa. India is not visa exempt and being a PR of Canada does not exempt you either. Nor can you transit on a flight through US if you are on an Indian passport and hoping to land in...

Baloo is right, the CoPR is not valid for air travel and re-entry into Canada, If you choose to leave before the PR card is received then one has to get a Travel document from the Embassy in India in order to return to Canada. It is much easier to wait for the card but if you can't then travel...

Delhi office asking for my wife's passport again

Honestly, I can't say for certain, no one can. However, this has been an on going problem for many lately. My guess is that there is an issue with backlogs and so they haven't opened some mails yet thus think they haven't received your ppt. They claim it can take up to a month to put a ppt with a...

Ottawa is a very bilingual town. Most jobs, although not all require a basic level of French or higher, in addition to English. What you will do is what FPrince suggested. You will attend the local YMCA that provides the language assessment for French or English. Here is Ottawa, you can also go...
