Got a call from the embassy today request a DNA sample along with a email..

My application just move to "in process" from "applications received" not sure how long for decision made.

I knew my application would be sent to program support unit because my dad's name wasn't on my birth certificate and it was resently added

I received the email today.. yes I did a follow up via web form a few weeks ago.

We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on May 24, 2018. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 6, 2018.

Just got an email from ircc saying my application went to program support unit. This file has been forwarded to Program Support for review by an officer. CPC-Sydney does not provide processing times or details of the case to a mission nor applicants regarding cases referred to Program Support...

Oh...I've gone a year already....hopefully I hear something next year

Ok! They did state that my application was sent to program support unit (PSU). My mom had pass off and my siblings are in the U.S and my dad is in Canada. I don't have any close relatives in Jamaica with me. Also am trying to get in the Canadian army but I have to prove that am a citizen first.

I was wondering if I could request urgent progressing and if anyone have any idea how I could go about doing so?

I did. They say that the application is still in process

I emailed them a few days ago, no reply as yet but I will keep you updated on my process

I didn't get a email or anything, am living outside the us and Canada. So it's hard for me to get any information!
