This is incorrect, IRCC uses the conversion rate of the day you submitted your application i.e AOR. Hence you do not have to worry about any fluctuations as long as you had enough funds at the time of submission.

Check immitracker, I think 24th Jan AOR have started to receive MEP. You should get it this week. My status bar had disappeared too however it returned once my MEP status got updated.
