Is there a possibility of me being denied entry at POE?

Thank you for the response. He won’t be travelling in Canada per say. We will be hosting him and fully supporting him while he’s here. What sort of evidence could we give him to show if he’s asked?

Is there a possibility of me being denied entry at POE?

How about a visitor from an EU nation? I have a friend who wishes to visit for six months from France. He’s a French citizen so no visa required. What proof should he show at the border that he intends to return? And most importantly, should he buy a return ticket?

    Quarantine facilities

My wife and I are in the same boat as you guys - we’re also returning to Canada, elderly parents at home etc. - , but what you could do is isolate in a place within your home (i.e. the basement for example) and just have them bring meals down.

We sent my wife’s passport for visa issuance in Warsaw. How many days will they take with stamping COPR in it, on average?

    SEPTEMBER 2019 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

My lawyer contacted them by webform. They also didn’t update us as to if medical results were accepted or not. But when we contacted them on that via webform (again through our lawyer) they confirmed their reception of the results.

    SEPTEMBER 2019 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

Does anyone know if a change in address with CIC will cause a file to be moved from one visa office to another? Say if I live in England, and the spousal app is being processed in London VO, and then I move to Vienna. Will the file be sent to Vienna VO and put at the back of the line? Thus...

    SEPTEMBER 2019 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

Do we need to disclose to CIC each time we take a trip out of our current country of residence? My lawyer seems to think if we don’t it counts as misrepresentation. Really confusing because - especially as someone living in the borderless Schengen zone - I can’t seem to make the connection...

    WARSAW TIMELINE-Join here !!

Yes, I am the sponsor. The funny thing is my lawyer advised against it as it would cause them, he said, to doubt our genuineness as a married couple.

    WARSAW TIMELINE-Join here !!

Hi. I posted the following on the September 2019 spousal board, but so far no response one day later: ——————— Hi everyone. If necessity (read: work, employment) causes me to return to Canada during the spousal sponsorship process, does it jeopardize a positive outcome for my spouse? Another...

    SEPTEMBER 2019 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

Hi everyone. If necessity (read: work, employment) causes me to return to Canada during the spousal sponsorship process, does it jeopardize a positive outcome for my spouse? Another question, related to the first one: what happens if we change addresses during the process? Do we need to...

    JULY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Here’s a good question: my lawyer has advised against ordering notes unless you feel there is a particularly important reason (i.e. timeline has passed the one year mark etc.) to do so. He claims that when you order notes, CIC begins asking itself “why are they ordering notes? Are they worried...

    SEPTEMBER 2019 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

All very true. While I’m a duel EU - Canadian citizen, and employed in the EU my wife isn’t either a citizen, or employed, so while she has EU residency (ironically in two EU countries at once) her financial situation depends on me. And this was used to deny her a TRV some years ago.
