    COPR and coronavirus

You have to link everyone not just the principal account. When you asked the other day about my GCKEy status I assumed you'd already linked your PR card. I linked mine the second day after I landed

    COPR and coronavirus

Lol I feel you. Plus the disorganised system kinda put me off relocating sooner. I have been looking at houses in Mississauga but I haven't decided yet. I wore winter jacket everyday in Vancouver. I missed Australia weather......things we take for granted I am looking for roles that will at...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hey Tom Regardless, do not get rid of your COPR even after you get your PR card. You will need it to apply for some benefits as you age. I hear it is even required if you need to apply for citizenship You know you will need to file taxes in Canada now that you are a PR regardless of where you...

    COPR and coronavirus

The COPR was updated on the 29th of March with "your document has expired". I wasn't surprised as it was the date of expiry hence why I landed a few days before Yes. My account showed submitted and then approved a few days ago. There was nothing in between

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi Tom, Yes that was quick and unexpected. I received an email in my personal email earlier last week informing me that there was an update in my account. Logged in and did not see any change-we call it "ghost update". Few days later I received another email in my personal email, logged in and...

Hi Titanium, I got a message on my GCkey account that my PR card was printed on the 11th of May and mailed to my nominated address in Canada on May 13th. Card could take up to 6 weeks to arrive

    COPR and coronavirus

I don't know what is in your letter but mine had this "To submit your package outside of Canada: Please submit your package to the nearest Visa Application Centre along with the VAC Passport Transmission fee". There is a VAC office in my state so I mailed it it to them. They forwarded my docs on...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi Tom, Excited that you have finally landed. Like I said, my experience of lining up in a queue in Canada was unbelievable. We are spoilt in Australia. I tried to get my SIN twice. The first day I had enough and left. Came back the second time and on that day, they were only 2 service Canada...

I had the same message but saw it months later so, I missed the upload time frame. Nothing changed and it did not affect my application.

    COPR and coronavirus

If you request for an appointment, they will call you in 2 business days however some cases have gone past the 2 days. You don't have the luxury to choose appointment time and date online. So for someone only here for a few days...wouldn't work. If you apply online, you will need an address for...

    COPR and coronavirus

You can give the address of anyone. I typed the address and printed it before I left Australia. I included everything in the paperwork I gave them so they didn't get to ask me if that was my final destination...and if they had asked I would have said yes *shrug* (and nope it wasn't my final...

    COPR and coronavirus

The problem at Sydney airport was going through security check point. The queue was out of this world. Or maybe it's because it's been 2 years since I last travelled. That queue was unbelievable. Mine was 2 and a half hours layover in Sydney but by the time I got to my gate people were already...

    COPR and coronavirus

Thank you. The process in canada was so smooth. I left the airport within 45mins of arrival. Maybe it's because there was no queue/long line of people that arrived on different flights. We arrived at 7am on the day. I was in an uber leaving for my accommodation before 8am.

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi Tom I had an ETA which was cancelled after I received my COPR. I believe once you get COPR you are no longer considered a tourist/visitor. Just that they might be fewer cases of people with passport that is eligible for ETA travelling like us so some airline staff have no idea. A while back...

    COPR and coronavirus

Just a quick landing update from me I flew to Vancouver with Air Canada in Partnership with Virgin Australia. I flew Virgin Australia from Melbourne to Sydney and that was where the problem started. They did not want to check me in because according to them I did not have an ETA. It didn't...
