    COPR and coronavirus

    1) I had travel insurance but no one asked me about any medical arrangements. It could be I was not asked just out if luck 2) I said online and my friends will drop food contactless if need be. That was accepted 3) once you pass customs, you can take any transportation you wish. As the...

    COPR and coronavirus

I flew in so I don't know if by land it will be different. I had ArriveCan filled in but on the plane they gave us the paper version of it. That's where everyone had to fill quarentine address. Uniformed guy ( I think border control) was checking that before letting us off the plane. And we have...

    COPR and coronavirus

Thanks, this is very helpful. Do you happen to know who's requiring the Covid test? KLM on their website don't ask for it and they just say some countries might. And as far as I know, Canada isn't asking either

Renting a house and self storage recommendations

I don't know if you're still looking for storage but I highly highly recommend Second Closet. You can pay per size and they come to pick it up saving you much effort. And they drop it back for you when you're ready ($25 charge).

    COPR and coronavirus

    1) You can but please check thoroughly what will be the tax filing implications in both countries 2) You will need SIN. I was transferred by company and once it's final they asked for copy of my SIN document and my PR card copy ( CoPR copy would also be acceptable)

    COPR and coronavirus

If we have to wait to get out of quarentine to register, it would mean we have to arrange private health care for two weeks atleast. I was hoping they can do registration remotely

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi everyone, How do we apply to OHIP when we arrive in the current state? It used to be we have to do it in person. Can this be done remotely now?

    COPR and coronavirus

Soft landing was never in the "official" option of IRCC. It's something applicants do because they aren't ready yet to settle. It's not prohibited but it's not also explicitly allowed ( there is no mention of it in the official site). So it's unlikely an agent will give definitive answer when...

    COPR and coronavirus

I am not in India but I have checked both KLM and Lufthansa to book flights. They say they follow the exit rule of the country they are taking off from and entry rule of the destination. Canada entry rule is clear. It seems the restrictions are from India (exit rule) which puts limitations on...

    COPR and coronavirus

I see couple of comments that stated KLM and Lufthansa not allowing PR card holders. This must be specific to India because KLM and Lufthansa both refer to specific country entry rules. Nothing says they are only taking citizens.

To all settlers, I need advice

If you have not already, take advantage of the pre arrival services ( not sure if they accept people the already did soft landing). They will help you already work on your CV, LinkedIn profile, letter etc...

Moving to Toronto this summer with Family

W Whenyou say " 3 of us have CoPR from 2018" , I hope you mean you already did soft landing and have PR by now? If you have PR card, you're exempt from the travel restrictions so you can travel to Canada.

Apologies for the late reply, I dont sign in often. For me, the Review of additional documents section never moved to 'not applicable'. Even after now where my profile shows approved, the Review of additional documents section still shows 'We are reviewing the additional documents you provided'
