I'm in the same boat. I got approved for PR early Aug and still no sign of a PR Card. Bit concerning but maybe I'm just paranoid after all the ups and downs we went through to get this far. Unsure if 4-5 months is normal....

I also originally assumed AoR was via mail, which is why we didn't realise we had it.

For whatever reason, my sponsor got the AoR in their Email, and I got the medical and biometrics requests in my own Email. Dont know if that's the usual.

Finally hopeful news after so long. Got my email medical request today. App sent on Jan 20. !!! No AoR yet. Going to check mail later tonight. Will keep you guys updated. Hang in there. Edit: AoR 5 days ago, Biometrics request today. (Day after medical.)

We only recieved the temp AoR/Reminder about Covid delays about a week ago via my wifes(sponsors) email. Beyond that nothing. Ours was recieved on the 20th. I think some Dec apps are getting AoRs now, so one can only hope. I like to watch the threads of earlier months to get the best possible...

Nope. In the same boat. Was under the assumption they wouldnt be processing anything during lockdown. Even my Visa extension has had no response yet, and I did that the same day I resubmitted my App. Usually trv extension takes a month or two to process, it's been 5. :p

Would a letter of explaination be suitable in this situation? Im willing to try but very worried it'll get it sent back a second time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Preparing it for resumbmission now on the off chance I can still submit despite Would a latter of explaination be sutable, or only get my app returned again?

It was more than likely on my end. But the copy we made/kept had it in there. The returned original didnt. Couldve just whiffed it. I've no clue. I'm more frustrated by the misleading communication and being under the impression it was already in process. I wish they had just reached out instead...
