I have 42 days left and my background check hasn't started yet. I don't think you have anything to worry about but if you are still anxious, it would be better if you contacted them and asked them your queries directly. It would give you more clarity.

My file is in Ottawa. Eligibility is done. Criminality and Security have not started. (This is what the agent said when I called last week.) AOR: October 18

136 days and still nothing. :( I think they need to employ more analysts and officers to get the job done faster.:D

Really hope they find some way to process all the applications fast..Waiting is definitely the most difficult part of this whole process..:oops:

Called CIC yesterday and the agent told me that eligibility is met and background check hasn't started. Can anyone please tell me whether "met" means Passed or does it mean "recommended passed"? The online status still shows "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". AOR...
