oh okay! So I sent postal application on sept 28th. Got acknowledgment on CGI on 31st Oct. Got acknowledgment on bls on 11th oct. Got back originals on 10th Nov.

Hi I applied through postal so I had to send in my originals. Pretty sure they would have given it back if I had done a walk in application. Thanks.

Hi I understand it’s a general consensus in the forum to not send the originals. However, the checklist for OCI minor applications asks for the original passport and birth certificate. I thought it was better to send in, than wait for them to reject and send back the application, thus losing out...

Hi everyone - I had query about originals that were sent through purolator. My application date is 4th October in BLS website and I still haven’t got any update from purolator on when the originals would be sent back? Anyone can please shed some light on the process for the same? Thank you :)

That’s the landing paper. You can use that for getting SIN and citizenship application.

Oh this reminded what happened with me. I went to Chennai VFS office and all the submission everything went smooth. Oh even the tracking and stuff was smooth. I got the update that the stamped visa is shipped to my address. I was waiting on the day it showed “shipment is out for delivery”. But...

Hey don’t get worried. I got my pic done at the studio outside VFS Chennai office. You could call and ask if have that service. And they take according to the specifications.

For my application, nothing was updated after “medical results have been received”. However, being curious I checked my ECAS after a month of landing here and one line was added after that with the date I made the entry and the name of port of entry. And outside it showed “complete” status...
