Sorry for a downer message, but my application has been ready since mid February and I still don’t have my PR :( I am in the Inland CIC stream. I hope you have more luck with it. Have you applied for your bridging work permit yet?

Hue hue it can take a long time from application approval to ppr. Mine was approved 1.5 months ago and still no invitation. Would be interesting to know why they can’t send the invitation instantly after approval.

6 months today. My application was approved a while back, but no sign of interview/PPR request. Sigh.

As far as I know background check includes criminality and security, so it is sort of a two parter.

Have you called them up to check? I am also CEC inland, aor 23rd of September. Called last Friday and everything was approved. They told me just to wait for a further instructions. Maybe yours has been already approved as well.

I just called CIC and the agent said everything has been approved! Woop. Just gotta wait for the instructions now. Timeline inland CEC - Calgary VO AoR: 23rd September Medicals: 19th of October Ghost update: 11 of Feb Application approved: Before 1st of March. Good luck everyone.

You have to complete 1 year of work experience after you finish your studies. No work done during full time education counts.

Thanks! Good luck to them too. I called CIC on 22nd of January and back then my eligibility hadn’t started either, so they completed the whole initial check on it in less than a month. Hopefully this is the case for your friend as well. :)
