hi mallory, to the best of my understanding, you might not qualify as conjugal partners. however, I don't know your personal situation. conjugal is very difficult to prove and likely will not apply to the vast majority of Canadian/US couples. "The key to assessing the conjugal partnership...

    Options of Immigration to Québec

ah, I found where I thought it was a time frame until someone could sponsor! It only applies if the person sponsoring was previously sponsored as a spouse/etc within the past 5 years. it's in IM1344E, page 2 question 5. so as long as they weren't sponsored as a spouse, they can sponsor you. :-)

    Options of Immigration to Québec

unfortunately, she hasn't had PR long enough to sponsor you. (edited to reflect information found below) --- there is only a time limit required if YOUR sponsor was previously sponsored as a spouse/common-law/etc within the past 5 years. so as long as that's not the case, it should be...

Proof that sponsor visited principal applicant - gas receipts?

I'll just be in Quebec as a visitor. I'm leaving my job at the end of the contract period (June), selling my house, etc. Rather than wait around in the states at my sister's house/etc (no thanks!), I'm going to go stay with my husband. As long as the border agent trusts that I will leave Canada...
