I did but I only sent the UP request in using the web form on July 1 and received an email end of July that it will be forwarded to the processing office. So I'm not even sure whether they have looked at the UP request yet. I asked for ATIP notes to find out. I requested them a few days ago...

Update on my UP request. I received an email from IRCC stating the following: "We verified the information you provided regarding your request for urgent processing and have forwarded it to the responsible office."

I see, I was considering calling the helpline. But if even they don't know... Maybe, an ATIP request would contain the information. In my case, I only requested urgent processing now as I initially thought I don't really have a case as my special authorization was still valid a year at the time...

Well, it's a bit more complicated in my case. It's because my special authorization expires in September. If it was a general prohibition of dual citizenship, it wouldn't have any reason for urgent processing since I would lose my current citizenship either way.
