    US outland applicants' thread :)

You're welcome and best of luck! There's been other reports where it went fine too. We're in the middle of applying for the extension of the visitor record and that's a pain in comparison. That process online is rather unclear.

    Extending a visitor record

Hi, has anyone recently applied to extend a visitor record? We're trying to apply online and have questions. We've read all the documents then went online to start applying. The addition of a digital photo was unexpected (not in the prep documents or the 5558 checklist or the 5708...

    APRIL 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I'm no expert, and we're still waiting on the PR, but to me: - Photos: sounds like they want not only pictures of your wedding but of your relationship in general, before and after the wedding. We included pictures of the two of us together when we dated, got engaged, outings, with our kids...

I got my AOR from the federal government , how do I continue the process I. Quebec??

Well, I saw something like 6 weeks in the past for processing. It may be longer now that the provincial government made changes. At least, the changes involve mostly skilled workers immigration, not family sponsorship immigration, but I can see it having an effect.

I got my AOR from the federal government , how do I continue the process I. Quebec??

I got my instructions to apply for CSQ when I got the SA for my spouse (outland PR application). The letter will have instructions. You'll need to include that letter with your CSQ application. So I would suggest you start looking at the Quebec forms and get them ready as much as possible, to be...

    A-0546-GF Advice required

Hi, In the letter from Immigration Canada that said I was approved as a sponsor, and also informed us that the application had been sent to CPC Mississauga, there was a whole paragraph about applying for the CSQ. You'll need to put a copy of that letter with your CSQ application. So, I would...

I ended up putting my information in 4.1 as the spouse even though I'm the sponsor and, based on advice i saw elsewhere on this forum, answered "yes" to the accompanying question. 4.2 I did not list the dual citizen children (put n/a) following the principle that I wasn't supposed to list them...

    APRIL 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Hi, I'm sponsoring my American spouse to come live in Quebec with me. You're a couple of weeks before me in your timeline except for the CSQ (we applied about the same time as you). Still no request for medical here either.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

We're back from biometrics! Entering the US was the most difficult part because I still hold my green card and they had questions about our whole situation. Had to go inside. We used the St-Armand\Philipsburg POE. Otherwise, my husband showed his appointment confirmation and that was...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

We’re doing biometrics in St. Albans Tuesday! My husband is a US citizen on a visitor record. Our big question is, do we need to show the visitor record at the Canadian border before crossing into the US? Did you tell the US border agents what you were doing biometrics? We’ll have plenty of...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I've been approved to sponsor my husband to Quebec from outside Canada. We received the request for biometrics last night. He's currently in Canada on a visitor record ending September 30th 2019. Reading the government website, I understand that he can go to Vermont to get his biometrics done...

Hi, Thank you for your reply. We still haven't got the AOR (it's now almost 6 weeks, crossing my fingers). We do have an history of going back and forth over the years. My husband did make it over the border this time but it wasn't easy. One officer didn't believe he would go back to the...

I I'm dealing with the same form right now. What did you end up doing with 4.1? I'm a Canadian citizen sponsoring my American spouse. I'm already in Quebec, they're in the US. We have dual citizen kids who are with me. In 4.2 I think I'm supposed to list them, with a ''no'' to the column...
