Finally, with 11 days remaining to hit the 6-month mark, got the golden email yesterday :) BG status was updated to processing on Friday after 5 months of inactivity and yesterday, I received the "ready for visa" email. Wishing a speedy processing for everyone waiting for PPR.

Need not resign. You can get a reference for your current job. Make sure you get it in the required format on a company letterhead with the right job duties for your NOC.

According to IRCC, reference letter is the only document needed. If it contains all the points required and if the job duties match the NOC chosen then it should be sufficient.

Don't add unemployed under work experience and it should be under personal history. Same goes for any work experience for which you don't want to claim points
