    Cross-border tax specialist: GTA

Hi, Can anyone recommend some cross-border tax specialist(s) in the GTA area and also their rates (if available). I will be filing taxes for the first time in Canada after moving from the US last year (while I continue to work for the US company) and would want to consult a specialist at least...

    First car/loan in Canada

Hi, So I went to a dealer today looking to lease a new car. The finance manager said that because I don’t have a credit history and that I have a PR (I moved to Canada about 1.5 months ago) I have to pay about 20% down payment. I went to another dealer and he mentioned something similar (up to...

Driving License Extract - Problems with Indian RTO

So if one has an extract (let's say manual and it is accepted) from an RTO in India claiming more than 2 years of driving experience, one can get a G2 license without driving test? From what I understand, one can schedule a G test immediately, but it is not mandatory.

I contacted CIC today. They said the card was dispatched on Mar 26th. Got confirmation from my friend a few hours ago that he has received the mail too. So, all done!

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

I haven't called them yet. Figured that I would wait till the "Average Processing Time" has passed, which will be next week. However, now that I know many who have landed after me have already received it, I will give them a call.

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

I landed on Mar 2nd at Toronto along with my wife and flew back to the US (where I currently reside) a couple of days later. I still haven't received any notification on PR card being dispatched. I tried adding the case to my IRCC account but was unable to do so. I contacted IRCC through web...

You must have received it directly from IRCC Ottawa. The passport of US residents need to be sent to Ottawa; VFS does this for you.

Sorry for the really late reply, didn't check the notifications. I am not sure about the procedure for countries which need ETA, so I cannot comment on that. I dropped and pick up my passport directly from VFS. I didn't have to provide a return envelop. I sent the Request for Visa/Confirmation...

Yeah, file is approved. Atleast that's what the agent told me when I called IRCC back in December.

I sent an email on their email id and also sent another message through the web form (after 1 week) and I didn't receive a response.

I sent an email to New Delhi VO last week, but that did not generate any PPR. Guess they stopped responding to such requests.

I have a question wrt sending passport (I haven't received the PPR yet). My wife and I applied together and both have provided a US address as place of residence. If one of us decides to take a vacation to our home country and receive the PPR during the vacation, can we send the passports...

    Working Remotely - Need reasons

Assuming that the individual gets paid in the US (let's say a US bank account), how does one use that money in Canada? Isn't that person losing a lot of money in exchange rates? Is there some other arrangement?
