Hi - Please how to know the tracking number for the OCI purolator courier? In the BLS status tracking, the reference number given is still pointing to the Surrender Passport courier My OCI status got updated today (24-May) saying it is "PROCESSED" and Document received at Toronto.

Agree with this 100% For the OCI in-person application - the lady at the counter literally took the indian surrendered passport and directly put that in a brown envelope and stapled it in front of me. Yesterday I got the EXACT SAME envelope with no changes to the stapling or anything different...

Scammers!!! So frustrating and makes me angry that they do this to fellow country people

which location?? if Surrey/ or BC - highly likely (good chance) you will get it if Toronto - too risky! apply entry/tourist visa to be safe my 0.02

Does BLS Toronto location allow in-person application for OCI?

Draft is compulsory only for the 345. For the other fees/amounts - those can be paid either by draft, cash or DEBIT. No Credit card. Hope it helps

@vivek.89 i just got this as reply to my Sampark query -> "normal processing time of 6 weeks" which is funny as its already been 6 weeks! lol. typical. looks like its a longer wait for us :(

Yes the OCI fees CAD 345 is by DEMAND DRAFT only. The other BLS processing fees can be paid by cash or debit. Payable name depends on your jurisdiction. For example - IF you are applying in Toronto, the Draft is to be made payable to "The Consulate General of India - Toronto"

we are in the same waiting boat! alongwith @vivek.89 @Hot2Cold . For 3, you have the option to apply visa ALONGWITH the surrender application itself! so you can still go ahead and apply if you would like to have it (without the surrender certificate) and not wait for OCI. If I was in your shoes...

Thanks for sharing, looking at the fees.. BLS are seriously such looters... did they not give you an option for pickup? (for the cancelled passport and for OCI?) you would have saved CAD 60.00! (TTC price would be like CAD 6.50 for the two required trips - for cancelled indian passport and OCI...

@Hot2Cold @vivek.89 - i think we are in the same boat with similar timelines. For all three of us it is stuck at - "Certificate has been printed" status in HCI portal. I think the next status we should expect is "Dispatched" or something

I see. I have same timeline as yours but my status is stuck at "Printed" at HCI and "Processing at Consulate General" in BLS. Wondering if there is a way for me to reach out / enquire effectively?
