November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

You can see which visa offices are assigned to which countries here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html In your case, I'd say you're likely going to London, since you're resident in the UK. (If you were...

Application keeps asking Living together OR not

Ahh okay, I see -- I wasn't sure if you meant that she would continue to go back and forth in the meantime. If she really has moved there then definitely I agree with what @canuck_in_uk said.

Application keeps asking Living together OR not

I think OP would need to clarify a little more, no? To me it sounds like they are simply visiting each other as much as they can, but are maintaining separate primary residencies (and likely separate utility bills, car insurance, etc). In that case I wouldn't consider them living together. On...

    VIENNA OFFICE

Thank you @Luthien, on both counts. It was a fast process for us in the end, definitely. I have to say, from what I have seen of the other VOs, Vienna is actually not a bad one to go through at all (take a look at the threads for most other VOs, like London, Mexico, Rabat, or even Paris and...

    VIENNA OFFICE

Just wanted to update that my husband received COPR yesterday morning. :) Though I said he received "PPR" on Tuesday, as a German (i.e. visa-exempt) citizen he didn't actually have to submit his passport at all. No scans or additional photos were requested either, even though his photos were...

    ***DECEMBER 2018 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP***

My husband received his COPR yesterday morning, so I guess we've well and truly made it to the finish! Still kinda hard to believe we're all done, but I'm super grateful we got through in such a timely fashion and we can land in time for my husband to start school. Here's proof that there's hope...

    VIENNA OFFICE

Update: My husband got DM and PPR today, two business days after we finally submitted a new set of documents proving my intent to return. That should be some reassurance for anyone else who may be asked to provide additional evidence of the sponsor's intentions -- it does seem to be nothing...

    We sent you correspondence, ECAS

Medical forms would not show up on the sponsor's side as a message saying, "We sent you correspondence about the decision on your application." That is not an ambiguous message and is the one everyone sees when they're approved as sponsor. This exact delay with eCAS showing SA has been noted by...

    *******MARCH 2019 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SLONSORSHIP*****

No, I wouldn't stress about it -- literally as long as you're not on welfare and you have some sort of job with any kind of transferrable skills that will be enough from a financial perspective. They just want to see you can eke out enough that your spouse won't go on welfare him/herself. If...

    *******MARCH 2019 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SLONSORSHIP*****

There's no LICO but you do have to prove you're financially capable of providing for your PA if necessary, hence why people have to include their tax return/proof of employment. I'm guessing this has something to do with the fact @phaeo wasn't living/working in Canada until recently and maybe...

Evidence for intention to follow spouse to Canada with PR

Indeed -- we even got the pre-arrival letter before the request for additional proof.

Evidence for intention to follow spouse to Canada with PR

Yeah, I was very thorough and provided as much proof as humanly possible with our original application, including a 3-page narrative document, and they still have requested additional information (hopefully because we are getting close to approval now). They do seem to be sticklers for this...

    We sent you correspondence, ECAS

You said in your other post that you received SA already back in February. In all likelihood this is what eCAS is referring to (the letter approving you as sponsor). In recent weeks especially eCAS has often been really slow to update/displays inaccurate dates for when notifications are sent.

How do I fill the checklist for spousal sposorship

I don't understand your confusion exactly, but if someone sponsored you originally to come to Canada, then you need to say yes, you were previously sponsored yourself and then provide the information on who was your sponsor.

How do I fill the checklist for spousal sposorship

Are you using the actual guide? If not I would strongly suggest you go through the instructions for how to fill out each form there...

How do I fill the checklist for spousal sposorship

No, if it's a form you need to validate (checklist is not one of these), you need to fill in N/A and re-validate. Don't make any manual changes to a form that has to be validated.

    **----January 2019 Outland Application----**

The call centre is notorious for stating they're working on some random date in the past just to keep everyone off their back. There are people from well after December 7 who've gotten PPR and even landed by now. Unfortunately, the call centre is not reliable at all, though it's funny to know...

    FEBRUARY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Our process was different in that our VAC sent them electronically immediately, but I know that some VACs in India (and apparently in Mexico/Central America) send the information physically. I wouldn't worry about it as long as the biometric data shows up in your account -- I was just answering...
