    20% cases in Express entry

It took 13 months for me + 1 month for passports to come back stamped from local VO. AOR: November, 2018 PPR: December, 2019 COPR: January, 2020 I´m not a permanent resident yet, because of the pandemic I´m still in my home country.

Apparenty, yes - in this specific case - the consulate provided authorization letter so the person could land in Canada as permanent resident.

    COPR and coronavirus

You should try to communicate to the Consulate General of Canada in your country, explaining the situation. There was a case of a person with expired COPR, who managed to contact the consulate in Brazil and received a positive response about the ability to fly - one day prior to the travel -...

    COPR and coronavirus

Really strange that recommendation! It doesn’t make any sense. You are allowed to enter Canada. Well I have flight tickets booked via Panana (Copa Airlines), we were schedueled to go on June 12 but the airline already cancelled the route Panama-Canada. Apparently they will resume flights on June...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi, thank you for the reply! Yes, for people who are somehow able to fly (no lockdowns for example), although flights are scarce and there is the risk of the virus, the situation is not clear now. In my specific case I still have some months ahead untill the expiry date, so I decided to wait and...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi, as I mentionend to Nivo0811, I think we should wait a little more...although the country I live is not in lockdown (I live in Brazil), there are almost no options to travel to Canada and tickets are sooo expensive now. It´s just too risky to travel, having to go through airports, airplanes...

    COPR and coronavirus

Even though you made an attempt to land recently I think you should wait. Perhaps we can all land before the expiry date in our COPRs or, if not, you can justify that it’s still not possible and also mention that first attempt to land. Honestly, I think IRCC will work just on expired COPRs, they...

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi, I´m in the same boat, my COPR also expires in August. I decided to wait until end of june/early july to see how the situation evolves in Canada and also in my country. Furthermore, IRCC may be already overwhelmed by e-mails from people with expired or soon to expire COPRs and that e-mail...

Remedicals passed and still waiting for PPR (Ottawa VO)

I’m on the same boat too. I passed remedicals in late August (!) and agent told me that background check still in process (security passed, criminality in analysis), eligibility passed, VO Ottawa too...e-mailed them last week and got a generic reply! This is really soul killing, all expectations...

Sorry to hear that your application is on hold, even after intervention of a MP...I´m an outland applicant, maybe I should also contact a MP to see if he/she can help in some way.
