Possible Strike Action by IRCC employees starting mid-April

Hi, my original oath ceremony was at 7:45 am on April 19 (the day the strike began) and was cancelled 13 mins before it was scheduled to take place. I just received an email that it has been rescheduled to take place on May 10 at 8:30 am in person in Mississauga office. Very happy, can’t wait!

Possible Strike Action by IRCC employees starting mid-April

No, they can cancel a day before ideally. If the strike ends on any given day, I can’t imagine ceremonies continuing mid day as it’ll take a few hours for it to become “official” and for workers to return to work which is not until the next business day at the earliest.

Possible Strike Action by IRCC employees starting mid-April

The Mississauga office cancelled my April 19 7:45 am ceremony 13 mins before the event at 7:32 am. I highly suspect yours will be cancelled too. I find it extremely unprofessional that they cancel ceremonies so last minute.

Great, that’s not too bad I guess. I was invited to do my April 19 oath ceremony on March 27. So I am roughly 3 weeks at back of the line whenever the strike ends.

Please help me confusion about EI period

I will pick the second one as well. It's straight forward and exact. Better to be clear than have CIC asking questions which will delay your process regardless of how easy it is to prove.

    RPRF to PPR timelines

It really depends on the visa office it can take days up to a few weeks. Ours has been paid since August 31st and still no PPR. I contacted the visa office and they told me that they will finalize it in January 2019, hopefully.
