Got another update today (though the action was on the 9th of March). Prohibitions also complete - so now just waiting on the Oath! It looks like she might end up close to the average processing time in the end.

As far as I can tell, it started 21/03/2023 - so about two months after the AoR. So it took close to a year....

I guess there's always the chance that a request wakes somebody up. Unfortunately in my wife's case they just muttered "national security", rolled over, and went back to sleep :P

That's great news. My wife's CSIS notes came back saying information was withheld for some possible reasons including national security, and her background check is still running. I am wondering how well I know my wife now :p

So two updates in a bit over a week, after 8 months of silence! So now my wife also has her physical presence done. So just prohibitions l, background check, and ceremony to go!

I think a lot of the "normal" cases are done, and those with non-routine applications are just trying to retain their sanity by forgetting the whole thing. My spouse, who is enjoying an extended security clearance, hardly remembers she has an application ongoing. I kind of monitor the...

In your place, I would just add the work under personal history. This mirrors reality and also will not trigger any requests for documentation (and also not give any points). You have not indicated who is the primary applicant, but just to share I actually moved some of my (primary applicant's)...

I was kind of happy to see an update today on my wife's file after silence since early May. But with so many people getting it, I guess it might just be a system update.

Re-reading your original post, I think you don't actually have anything to worry about yet. I just checked my wife's GCMS notes and hers says Language Evidence Submission: Required, Type of Language Evidence: IELTS. So my reading is that the first status just means you don't have any exemption...

What evidence did you provide with your application? I assume a lot of people just resubmit what they used for the PRs which, as it doesn't even need to unexpired, should be any easy pass.

Good luck with the interview, I guess it's just a formality. Out of curiosity, were you borderline with the residence requirement?

I guess there are a lot of silent sufferers, which may not be obvious when most posters have good news to share.
