You can't do that. During the citizenship ceremony, you have to cut your PR card. So you won't have a PR card anymore and won't be able to reenter Canada. You will have to request a delay in oath ceremony to a date after you are back.

Actually my case is same. Completed the test Nov 19 and then nothing at all. But I have seen some people moving as well, that's why I said inconsistent.

We just went in person to the passport center in Whitby. It took just one hour for the whole process and then they got the passport in 7 days. SLA for in person applications are now just 10 business days and for mail in applications, it's 20 business days.
